The Miracle of Hanukkah Begins Tomorrow

The First of the Eight Festive Nights Begins Tomorrow

The first night of Hanukkah begins tomorrow, and the holiday continues until December 24th. That means that our Jewish friends will be taking out their menorahs and getting ready to illuminate their homes. This eight-day holiday celebratesthat light should prevail during times of darkness, purity over adulteration, and spirituality over materiality.

This holiday calls for a nightly lighting of the menorah until all eight lights are illuminated. Many choose to give the gift of presents on each night, meaning eight gifts for the eight nights of light.

Did you know that there are over 13 ways to spell the holiday? Some of the different ways include Chanuka, Chanukah, Chanukkah, Channukah, Hanukah, Hannukah, Hanukkah, Hanuka, Hanukka, Hanaka, Haneka, Hanika, and Khanukkah. No matter how you choose to spell the special holiday, this is a time to commemorate the lost, the loved, the fallen, and those around you that love you day after day.

Happy Hanukkah to all that enjoy this eight-day celebration! To catch up on the latest from The Maria Sanchez Show, download the latest podcast today.
