Observing National Child Abuse Prevention Month

How we can get involved during National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a month that recognizes the importance of families and communities coming together to prevent child abuse and neglect.  A primary goal of this month is to offer educational resources and support to promote the social and emotional well-being of children and families.

Because child welfare is something that we need to be concerned about and dedicated to, we must do our part to get involved.  For instance, we can spread the word by posting on social media. By tagging posts with #NCAPM2020 and #ChildAbusePreventionMonth, we can boost the visibility of this month’s important goals.

Additionally, we can encourage our local leaders, educators, and representatives to participate in National Child Abuse Month.  The Child Welfare Information Gateway offers a variety of educational resources that our community leaders can use to spread awareness for the goals of this month. We can find these resources HERE.

Join us at The Maria Sanchez Show as we spread awareness this National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Don’t forget to check out our latest program, Shadow Politics with Senator Michael D. Brown.   Tune in on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. PDT/7:00 p.m. EDT.
