International Day of Peace September 21st

Sunday, September 21st is International Day of Peace, and it feels as if our world needs it now more than ever! International Day of Peace was established by the United Nations in 1981. This worldwide celebration is intended to remind our planet of the importance of strengthening peace amongst all peoples, nations, countries, and religions.

In its 30th year of celebration, we are honoring the General Assembly Declaration by declaring this year’s theme “Right of Peoples to Peace.” The following are some eventful ways we can celebrate International Day of Peace:

  • Join the rest of the world in having a moment of silence to all that sacrificed their lives in the name of peace throughout the years. The worldwide recognition will be at noon.
  • What can be more fun than a peace party? Cook up some delicious international dishes and formulate a sound track with songs about peace!
  • for more information.
  • Most importantly, spread the word! Let everyone know what we are celebrating!
