The Maria Sanchez Show Reminds Women to Celebrate Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month has occurred during the month of March since the year 1987. Each year has sported a different theme, and the 2014 focus is on “Celebrating Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment.”

A one week proclamation signed by President Jimmy Carter was originally called National Women’s History Week, but it was soon to be transformed by the National Women’s History Project into the current celebration of women known as Women’s History Month.

I think that working women will find it interesting to attend various events centered on the accomplishments of women who managed to rise above their misfortunes. Mena and women may find it inspiring to learn more historical information about our female ancestors who rose from the depths of poverty to eventually attain fame and wealth.

Cities across the nation will host various celebrations and lectures that offer biographical information about local women who have made significant contributions to their communities. For more detailed information about Women’s History Month, please contact The Maria Sanchez Show.
