Take Action for Safe Driving During National Impaired Driving Prevention Month

Stay safe during National Impaired Driving Prevention Month.

It’s National Impaired Driving Prevention Month. As we get ready to celebrate the holidays, it’s important to be responsible when it comes to driving under the influence as well as driving “buzzed.” A little-mulled wine, some sparkling wine, eggnog, or cocktails aren’t uncommon this time of year. However, it’s important to drink responsibly. Check out these driving under the influence prevention tips to stay safe on the roads.

Find Alternate Transportation.

It’s important for all of us to be aware of our limitations as well as our laws. Overdoing it can not only impair our judgment, but our response and reactions times as well, making it incredibly dangerous to get behind the wheel. We’d like to recommend that if any of us have been drinking, we suggest alternate methods of transportation.  Today, it is especially convenient what we have available to us apps to download onto our smart phones and then to U-S-E them to arrange for transportation.  Another alternative is establishing a designated driver or calling a taxi, never drink and drive.

Look Out for Others.

The roads are a communal space. If we notice someone driving erratically, or if we see an intoxicated person get behind the wheel, call for help. It’s important that you step in to prevent any accidents.
