Yum! It’s National Goat Cheese Month!

National Goat Cheese Month

Dig Into This Alternative Cheese

We might love cheese, but a lot of us probably know it’s all too often high in sodium, high in calories, and high in fat. Is there are a way we can get the delicious creaminess we love without having to compromise our health?

Yes! When you compare goat cheese vs cow cheese, you find that goat cheese is easier for your system to digest and lower in calories, fat, sodium, and cholesterol while still containing protein, vitamins and minerals!

August is National Goal Cheese Month and we’d love to share one way to enjoy this delicacy.  So whip up this tasty, quick, and easy recipe for goat cheese stuffed apricots to celebrate and get these goat cheese benefits. Gather up:

  • 12 apricots
  • 8 ounces of goat cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of raw honey
  • ¼ cup of pecans, chopped

Halve the apricots and take out the pits. Roll goat cheese into a ball about the size of the pit and place it in the center of each apricot half. Evenly space out the apricots on a serving platter, then drizzle them with the honey and sprinkle with pecans. Enjoy!
