National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

Alzheimer’s and dementia are a disease that impacts over 15 million individuals all over the United States. Each November, we gather together as a community to provide support and raise awareness for this disease.

This November, we would like to help raise awareness for not just those that are impacted by this disease, but their caregivers. There are a number of organizations that offer emotional, financial, and medical support to those impacted by Alzheimer’s or dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Association, American Health Assistance Foundation, and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America are organizations supporting Alzheimer research. These organizations also work to raise awareness for this disease by organizing community events that educate individuals about the symptoms, severity, and emotional impact of this disease.

Learn more about the emotional impact of Alzheimer’s and dementia by downloading our September 17th podcast. We discussed this disease and talked to individuals who have had loved ones affected.
