Join Us in Participating in the Light It Up Blue Campaign for National Autism Awareness Month

Celebrating National Autism Awareness Month

Find out how we can get involved in National Autism Awareness Month.

We most likely have a lot to learn about the brain, including but not limited to, autism. Autism is a brain disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate and interact with their surroundings and other people. In recent years, autism has been on the rise, yet much is still unknown about the diagnosis. Please join us in learning more about autism and raising awareness about this disorder for National Autism Awareness Month. The more we learn, the better able we can understand and accept one another. Here are some ways that we suggest to get involved.

Participate in the Light It Up Blue Campaign.

As part of National Autism Awareness Month, the organization Autism Speaks holds events throughout April to educate individuals about the disorder for greater understanding and acceptance of autism worldwide. Whether we choose to wear blue, donate to an organization, or participate in a walk, let’s find the method that works best so that we can get involved.

Join us at The Maria Sanchez Show in learning more about autism for National Autism Awareness Month. Don’t forget to check out our latest program, Shadow Politics with Senator Michael D. Brown. Tune in on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. PDT/7:00 p.m. EDT.
