Let’s Celebrate National Thank You Note Day

It’s time we show our thanks for what we have received.

Today is National Thank You Note Day.  As the name suggests, this holiday is dedicated to writing and distributing thank you notes to our loved ones.  This holiday is strategically set for the day after Christmas to encourage us to express our gratitude for all of the presents that we received during the holiday season.  However, thank you notes can also be given to show gratitude for non-physical gifts as well.  For instance, we can give thank you notes to individuals who have offered us support, advice, kindness, and so on.

The best way to celebrate this holiday is by doing the obvious: writing and distributing thank you notes.  For those of us who have children, this holiday provides a wonderful opportunity to teach our kids the importance of showing gratitude and expressing thanks for all their blessings.  We can jumpstart this good habit by including a pack of thank you cards in their holiday gifts and encouraging them to use them on National Thank You Note Day.  As our children write their thank you notes, we should do so as well; being careful to include everyone who has made a difference in our lives during the year.

Join us at The Maria Sanchez Show as we celebrate this National Thank You Note Day.  Don’t forget to check out our latest program, Shadow Politics with Senator Michael D. Brown.  Tune in on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. PST/7:00 p.m. EST.
