Get Healthy This August For More Herbs, Less Salt Day

Eating healthy can be challenging but by replacing salt with herbs, we can take huge strides in improving our health. August 29th is More Herbs, Less Salt day and is the perfect time to experiment with using herbs instead of salt in our home cooked meals.

Late August is prime time for herbal growth so we have an opportunity to choose fresh herbs and start some of your own healthy delicious recipes and create a new way of preparing meals without the use of salt. It’s also an excellent opportunity to plant our own herb gardens and we can have them available at our convenience in our own world.

Eating too much salt can cause unhealthy effects on our bodies such as high blood pressure and can even cause weight gain by retaining water.  We can reduce these dangerous risks by substituting herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and mint instead of salt. Try it out this August for More Herbs, Less Salt day and enjoy the benefits of healthy living.
