Preparing Today’s Girls To Be Tomorrow’s Leaders

Girl Scout Leader Appreciation Day & Take Your Daughter To Work Day

I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast, so I am very excited that today is Girl Scout Leader Appreciation Day. The Girl Scout leaders are integral in helping our young girls and young women become our future leaders and role models.   One of the goals of the Girl Scouts is create young women of “courage, confidence and character”. I really admire these leaders, so if you know a Girl Scout Leader give them kudos today!

Another great way to help girls and young women grow up to be their most powerful selves is by participating in Take Your Daughter To Work Day. This date always falls on the fourth Thursday of April (i.e. tomorrow), so get your daughter ready for a great day learning about your workplace and preparing her for her future opportunities.

Created by the Ms. Foundation for Women in 1993, it was intended to expose our daughters to the professional world of their parents.  In some parts of our country,  it has now been expanded to Take your Daughter or Son To Work Day.

We hope you find an impactful way to help today’s girls and young women prepare to become tomorrow’s leaders! To catch up on the latest from The Maria Sanchez Show, download the latest podcast today.
