Celebrating New Years Eve 2014

Most people cannot wait for the New Year. It’s a chance to start over fresh, begin that new diet you’ve been meaning to start, but never did, or maybe pick up where you left off on your bucket list. The feeling of new beginnings is something we all look forward to. I know personally I enjoy every second the ball drops. After all, it only happens once a year!

One of my favorite things about New Year’s Eve traditions is they vary in each country. In Australia they tend to celebrate by rodeos, picnic races, and other outdoor activities. Scottish prefer to clean their house as an act of purification. However what I noticed about various traditions is that they all are in hopes to bring good luck. I believe cleaning our home every week not just once a year is good luck, however the point is we are able to take national traditions and create a global celebration for people of all cultures. That’s something worth celebrating in itself, no matter how you celebrate.
