Celebrate the 2014 Mardi Gras Festivities in New Orleans

As many of you may know, Mardi Gras culminates on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, also known as Fat Tuesday. The words Mardi Gras, are derived from the French language, and translate into English as Fat Tuesday. Popular practices include wearing masks and costumes, dancing, parades and a whole lot of celebrating.

Wednesday, March 5 marks the start of the Lenten season known as Ash Wednesday, which is a day of fasting for us practicing Roman Catholics. For this reason, Fat Tuesday is the last chance to party and partake of anything that we may be abstaining from prior to the beginning of Lent.
