Celebrate National Good Neighbor Day with Us

Celebrate National Good Neighbor Day with Us (Sept. 24)

Good neighbors are truly a blessing.  Celebrate National Good Neighbor Day by thanking your neighbors and by doing your best to be a good neighbor too.

September 24th marks Good Neighbor Day, a day that celebrates the importance that a good neighbor has on our lives.  For many of us, our neighbors are dear friends.  They are our confidants, they watch out for us, and they are always there to help in a pinch.  Thank your neighbors and follow these tips to celebrate National Good Neighbor Day.

-Show your appreciation.  Let your neighbor know that you are grateful for them.  Write them a thank you note or present them with a little present to show you care.  Additionally, you could invite your neighbor out and treat them to a meal.  Either way, do something that shows how thankful you are to be living next to them.

-Greet new neighbors.  If you have new neighbors or a neighbor that you don’t know very well, take this opportunity to introduce yourself.  Strike up a conversation and make an effort to get to know them.

-Return the favor.  The best way to thank good neighbors is by being a good neighbor yourself.  Be friendly, try not to be disruptive, and always offer your help when possible.  While having good neighbors is nice, being a good neighbor is even better.
